Portland Dyke March Committee presents the  3rd Annual Portland Dyke March
Friday June 20, 2008
*6:30 pm: pre-show at Congress Square (corner of Congress Street and High Street) featuring local musicians, drag performers, political rabble rousers, and guests: Vanessa Torres and Touching Ground, Maine Roller Derby, Goldie Peacock and Bunny Wonderland, Rev. Jennifer Paty from the Northern Lights Metropolitan Community Church of Augusta and others.  ASL interpreted.

*7:30pm (estimated time): march kick-off from Congress Square to Monument Square.  Marchers on foot, dykes on bikes, bicycles, scooters, skates, strollers and others are welcome!

*8:30pm - 1am: after-party at the North Star Music Cafe "for dykes and the people who love them," featuring Hurricane Bertha, G'gann and the Smokes, and DJ Kate.  NO COVER, All Ages, 21+ with ID for beer and wine.  Due to the ongoing support of the local community, and participation at fundraising events throughout the year, all Dyke March events on Friday, June 20th are FREE. Funds raised through a raffle at the after party will go towards future endeavors and the 2009 Dyke March.
